John Wick - Reviewed in 60 Seconds
John Wick: A retired assassin is forced back into action when the son of his previous boss steals his car and kills his beagle, the final gift from his deceased wife. Keanu Reeves stars in this movie that could have easily been called "Keanu Reeves Kills Everyone." It's a great movie, provided you suspend all respect for the sanctity of human life before you enter the theater. Unoriginal, sure, but a self-aware script, slick cinematography, and airtight fight choreography earn this movie four gold coins out of five. Why gold coins? See the movie to find out. John Wick is now in theaters. Now go give your dog a big hug!
Birdman - Reviewed in 60 Seconds
In hopes of taking back the admiration of the public, a has-been actor known for playing a superhero in the 90s attempts to mount a dramatic Broadway play. You might already think this movie is going to be good, but it's better. It is the best of all worlds - stylish, weird, funny, and interesting. We give it a solid 5 jellyfish out of 5. Why jellyfish? See the movie to find out. Birdman is now in select theaters.

X-Men: Days of Future Past - Reviewed in 60 Seconds
The X-Men are against their greatest foe yet - the mutant-decimating Sentinels, and the only way to stop them is to send Wolverine back in time 50 years to prevent the assassination that leads directly to the Sentinels’ rise to power. The only problem with this movie is the same problem all ensemble-cast movies tend to have - there are lots of characters making plot-moving decisions, but not a lot of time spent developing those characters. However, even then, it’s a fun roller coaster ride with a great balance between meaningful dialogue and actiony action stuff. So we’re giving it four stolen ding dongs out of five.
Ill Informed: Brian Linton
On this week's 'Ill Informed,' Mikey and Ethan sit down with Brian Linton of United by Blue to discuss his mission to clean the world's waterways and the true meaning of "blue." Brian's key takeaway is the issue of trash's impact on the ocean's ecosystem and the fact that we keep putting more in and not taking enough out, and that is something that needs to change. He urges people to be aware of the amount of single-use plastic (bottles, straws, etc) they consume on a daily basis and to do their best to limit their use of those items as much as possible.
Episode 07: The New American Dream is Trashed
The next stop is Philadelphia, home of Brian Linton and United By Blue. It’s a day before World Ocean's Day, and Brian asks the team to join him in a trash cleanup in Freeport, Maine. As per their usual, they turn it into a contest. After both Mikey and Ethan pull their fair share of antics and tricks, Mikey ultimately comes up short, and per the rules of the bet has to spend a night in the local dump.

Automata - Reviewed in 60 Seconds
Antonio Banderas stars as an insurance agent from a post-apocalyptic robot company who investigates bots that are mysteriously able to modify themselves. What he discovers may change the landscape of life on Earth. Automata is a cheesy movie that mistakenly believes it’s a profound movie, which makes you feel kind of awkward watching it. Now I love me a good ol’ fashioned robopocalypse movie, so if this couldn’t win me over, something seriously went awry. I give it three nuclear batteries out of five. Why nuclear batteries? See the movie to find out.
Automata is now available on M-Go, Vudu, Amazon, iTunes, Netflix, and select theaters.

Episode 06: The New American Dream is Shaping Up
Driving up the east coast, the guys stop by to see Mikey’s old hometown friend at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. SGT Mark Meagher, an 82nd Airborne Expert Field Medic, is back from a tour in Afghanistan and is seemingly a completely different person from the person who Mikey dropped off there more than two years ago. He whips Mikey and Ethan into shape, putting them through the ringer of Army training before their ultimate test, “jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.” While it’s easy (especially in post-G.W. Bush-America) for this young generation to dismiss and disparage military service, the group learns a valuable lesson on the role that the military can play in helping young people turn their own lives around.
Gone Girl - Reviewed in 60 Seconds
A man’s wife mysteriously disappears, and he finds it nearly impossible to prove his innocence and get real answers while the media and the evidence make him look really good for being a filthy murderer. Director David Fincher gives us another visually stunning, captivating film with interesting and flawed characters. -- That’s just what he does. The man’s a genius. But there are a couple imperfections. The movie probably could have been shorter, sometimes concepts got repeated, and some reveals felt out of order. It could have beenlittle bit smoother. That’s why we’re giving it 4.5 robot dogs out of 5.
Misha Collins - Actor
