Do you ever wonder why you're drinking a green smoothie and what its giving you? Here's our favorite recipe broken down.

Alexandra's "Green Smoothie"

Ingredients

  • 1 handful of Spinach
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Apple
  • ¼ Cup of Soaked Chia Seeds
  • ½ Avocado
  • 1 Handful of Blueberries
  • 1 Tablespoon of "Green Vibrance"

Directions

  1. Blend all the ingredients in a High Power Blender. *I prefer blending vs. juicing cause you get all the good fiber!
  2. Pour in a glass & enjoy!

 

The 101 on "Green Smoothie" Health Benefits:

  • Spinach = Iron. It also helps fight heart disease and cancer + it's low cal. 
  • Banana = Potassium It also adds some sweetness to the smoothie to make it extra yummy.
  • Apple = Fiber & Sweet Flava
  • Chia Seeds = Omega 3s - which are so good for your everything. 
  • Avocado = Good Fat - Because you need some fat to balance the sugar so it doesnt go straight to your bloodstream and do bad things. 
  • Blueberries = Anti oxidants & anti cancer fighting things. 
  • Green Vibrance = Everything & more - Its really hard to get everything you need from food these days. AND this sh*t really does make you glow.  
Alternate smoothie breakfasts with days where you eat eggs and toast and you'll be golden!
