Warner Brothers and JK Rowling are working together on a new film series based on Harry Potter's Hogwarts text book, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' and the fictitious author Newt Scamander. This is REALLY happening people!
"‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world,” said Rowling. What she's saying is, there will be no Harry Potter in these new movies. The first film is set to take place in New York 70 years before Harry Potter made the magic scene.
Basically, today is better than Christmas if you're a true Harry Potter fan. (However, there's a lot more crying going on than we expected.)
