50 Shades of Grey fans spent yesterday kicking and screaming over what they believe to be bad casting decision. Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam were cast as the leads of the book turned movie. In fact, people were SO angry about it, they started a petition on change.org that as of this morning has over 47,000 signatures.
Last week, Batman fans took to twitter to announce their disappointment when Ben Affleck was cast as the new Batman. Where were these fans when Val Kilmer was Batman?
We looked back at a few movies and asked ourselves the same question 50 Shades of Grey Fans are asking now, WHY?
Johnny Depp as Tonto in Lone Ranger
Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane in an earlier remake of Superman
Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates in the remake of Psycho
Denise Richards as a Nuclear Physicists in The World Is Not Enough
Unfortunately, last time we checked, Hollywood casting isn't a democracy.
