Ladies and gentlemen, our country may be facing a bacon shortage.
A virus is spreading through pig farms across the country killing millions of pigs. The virus is called porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) and little is known about how to stop it.
What does this mean for bacon? Bacon is about to get even more expensive.
What does this mean for bacon lovers?
Only one thing worse than a zombie apocalypse, a bacon shortage.

Speaking of foods, what's this I hear about an impending #bacon shortage? Makes my applewood fatback stash liquid gold now, huh?

Too bad I didn't stock up on bacon. I may have to go baconless in this so called bacon shortage.

What does this mean for the future in general?
Just watching CNN, it sure seems like most rioting in the world happens in the countries with a shortage of bacon.

Without real bacon, all we'll be left with are millions of bacon memes.
Apparently there are people who are "over" bacon.
The internet ruined bacon and bacon ruined the internet.

Just wait until the shortage is real.
