Every year Columbus Day rolls around and it's the same thing, "Why do we celebrate Columbus Day?" This year, so many people were frustrated with it, Seattle and Minneapolis actually changed the Holiday to "Indigenous People's Day" in an attempt to shift the focus from Christopher Columbus to the people he encountered in the New World and their descendants. Of course, these changes haven't stopped the Columbus Day jokes we've come to expect on twitter today.
Columbus Day is the Washington Redskins of federal holidays.
