The Walking Dead Season 5 Filming Has Started

And the show is still about zombies.

Denise Huth, The Walking Dead's co-executive producer, is way too perky and normal to be working on this show. Actually, everyone in this video is super perky. You'd expect a show like this to have a way tougher behind the scenes vibe, but nope. They're all as excited and giddy as a bunch of little kids on the first day of school. This is a behind the scenes vid from the beginning of shooting for season 5, and it looks like the cast and crew are all really pumped. Take a look.

So, things we can learn from this video:

  • there are still zombies
  • it's still shot in Georgia
  • it's still super gory

Well, cool. Thanks.

Actually, though, a couble of nuggets- one is that this season is supposed to be more violent than ever. Lauren Cohan tells us some of the footage may be too violent to make it on air, but we have to wonder how often that happens anyway. How do Standards and Practices work on a show like this? And we also learn that the season is going to revolve around group dynamics, which is always fun and always leads to a lot of great gory conflict, right?

Bottom line, this doesn't tell us much, but we didn't expect it to. And if everyone behind the show thinks this will be the best season yet, then more power to 'em. Are you excited for the next season? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @DweebCast.
