This movie isn’t terrible or horrible. It is unrecognizeable, except for the title, it bears little resemblance to Judith Viorst’s beloved children’s book, but that’s ok. It’s a movie about a goofy kid with an even goofier family and silly things happen to them all day.Love and family conquer all, including a bitchy teen girlfriend, an unrelenting boss and permanent green marker eaten by the baby, yadda yadda yadda.

Obviously kids and grandmas will enjoy this movie. It’s the ones in between that might suffer.
