This is a story about the unlikely friendship-of-convenience between the gay community and the Mine Workers Union set in the UK in 1984. It's a small, seldom told true story and the director pulls it off with humor, heart and sincere performances. Yes, it is a feel good movie. The film adeptly portrays the parallels between how AIDS was impacting the homosexual community and the plight of the miners fighting for their jobs. True to form, watching these groups come together to help each other against all odds makes you feel damn good.

You don't have to go to the theater for it, but definitely worth watching at home with grandma and the kids.
