Ben Mendelsohn on ‘Rogue One,’ ‘Bloodline,’ & his second act

Ben Mendelsohn is flying high. The Emmy-winning actor opens up about his turn as the newest Star Wars villain in ‘Rogue One,’ what it’s like to be pegged as the bad guy, and the delight of being in high demand after years of struggling.

Larry King is joined by the villain of the upcoming film “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” actor Ben Mendelsohn. He speaks to his role as Orson Krennic, and how it felt to act alongside one of the all time iconic film characters, Darth Vader. Mendelsohn revisits the successful history of the franchise, and considers “Rogue One” to be an excellent addition to the Star Wars universe.

Then, Larry King asks the Emmy award winning actor about the role that garnered him the award; Danny Rayburn on the Netflix original series “Bloodline.” Ben Mendelsohn explains that the series is devoted to looking at the dynamics of a family with a black sheep, and what it meant to play the ostracized son of the Rayburn clan.

Finally, Larry King and the Australian born actor address the changes that his career has undergone since his earliest days as a teen heartthrob. Ben Mendelsohn acknowledges that the opportunities that have come his way have only improved since he has gotten older, including his upcoming collaboration with Stephen King on the sci-fi film “Ready Player One.”
