Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard in Africa tribute
Kristen Bell and husband Dax Shepard take on Toto’s classic 80s hit “Africa” in a delightful tribute to the American soft rock band.
Kristen Bell, 35 and husband Dax Shepard, 41, are giving couples some serious #relationshipenvy with their homemade music video of Toto’s 80’s hit song Africa, while on a trip to…you guessed it Africa. The trending video shows the acting duo running around on the African savannah, chasing zebras, dancing in the rain and lip-syncing, with gorillas, hippos and other wildlife competing for attention in the background.
The first video to be posted on Shepard’s youtube channel in over a year, the clip already has close to 2 million views.
In the description, Shepard writes, “This was our last trip before having kids. Our sole objective was to rage hard and honor Toto properly.”
Bell jokingly wrote that the video, suitably named “Dax and Kristen do Africa, was “the best project I’ve ever been a part of,” in answer to a tweet suggesting it should be nominated for a Noble Prize.
The couple, who postponed their own marriage until same-sex marriage was legal in California in 2013, have two daughters, Lincoln and Delta, born in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Indicating that the video was actually filmed sometime before the birth of their first daughter in 2013.
Whether a parody, a tribute, or little bit of both, we can’t deny that the pair are making a serious case for themselves as Hollywood’s most congenial couple.
See what the two (slightly star-struck celebrities) had to say about their relationship when they got together with Larry on Larry King Now!
But the question remains, who did it better?
Take a look and decide for yourself!
