Donald Trump was reportedly forced to postpone a rally in Chicago after his equally passionate supporters and protesters got into a confrontation this past weekend.
The Trump campaign released a statement on Friday, explaining the reasons for the cancellation:
"Mr. Trump just arrived in Chicago, and after meeting with law enforcement, has determined that for the safety of all of the tens of thousands of people that have gathered in and around the arena, tonight's rally willbe postponed to another date. Thank you very much for your attendanceand please go in peace.”
While the voices against Trumpare loud and clear among certain Americans, politicians and celebrities alike, the motives of the opposition was put under doubt by the real estate mogul’s own son, Donald Trump Jr. on Friday.
He tweeted:
Ha 5 students when asked why they were protesting couldn't even answer. The participation medal/micro aggression generation is pretty sad!

Adding later:
It's pretty embarrassing. Trump supporters were articulate and the antis could barely speak and had no answers. https://t.co/FIhnHkEXDG

While Trump Jr. seemed baffled by the demonstrators, others felt the motivation was as clear as "the sky is blue."
RnB singer and songwriter John Legend took it upon himself to clarify what he deemed an uncomplicated situation.
The Grammy-award winning musician tweeted:
.@DonaldJTrumpJr I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn't complicated.

Trump Jr. took note and replied:
Here we go again. That can't be the answer for everything you don't like. That's why the country is so divided now! https://t.co/BFh3XNsl7F

According to CNN, Legend struck back once again:
"No," the singer said, ”It's just the answer when racist racists are saying racist s—t and are endorsed by the KKK."
The musician isn't' the only one in the Legend household who is openly opposed to Trump. Legend’s wife, model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen, is known for airing her personal views on social media andhas taken shots at Trump earlier in the campaign. In response to her husband's twitter battle with Trump Jr., Teigen tweeted a simple, “Got em.”
See what Teigen, who describes herself as "a spitfire," had to say about her Twitter feuds when she met with Larry on 'Larry King Now.'
