Everyone’s favorite pirate, Johnny Depp, has taken on a new role - well sort of.

Depp - specifically his head - made a cameo appearance on Sunday night’s episode of ‘The Walking Dead.’

In a scene where Rick and Co. went on a search for severed heads that resembled Hilltop leader Gregory, Depp's decapitated head made the cut.

Of the three heads collected, one was actually a mold of 'The Walking Dead' executive producer and director of the episode, Greg Nicotero. He told Entertainment Weekly, “It ended up being a mold of my head. So that head that he picks up is actually a fake head of me!”

Rick picks up Nicotero's head and jabs it for a broken nose look.

“One of the other heads, I don’t know if I’m going to get in trouble if I say this, was Johnny Depp. I think we had sculpted an emaciated version of a dummy head for something and we used Johnny Depp’s head as a basis just for a clay sculpt. I can’t remember who the third one is, but I’m in good company."

If you have seen plenty of Depp's movies, you might be able to identify him as the head on the right. Nicotero appears in the middle.

Although it may seem odd that Nicotero just so happened to have a mold of Depp's head, the two have worked together in the past on 'Public Enemies' and 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico.' Still odd, but less creepy.

Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes on 'The Walking Dead' sat down with Larry King and his onscreen wife Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori Grimes) and discussed the show. Check out what they had to say.
