American singer-songwriter, Andrew Fetterly Wilkes-Krier, better known as Andrew WK, has launched a new political website, and released a video in which he announces the formation of a new political party. "The Party Party" will be lead by the artist himself, granting they manage to secure enough signatures in the online petition found on their website.

It's highly unclear if this is a serious addition to the elections or an April Fools' joke. Either way, Andrew WK doesn't flinch in the announcement video.  You've got to give it to him: it must be said that the website has an air of legitimacy to it.

In the video, the musician tries to tug at the heartstrings of potential supporters and voters, stating that "buried deep inside this mountain of overwhelming national anxieties, complex international dilemmas, and endlessly competing principals, there is a fundamental truth — that we are all in this together."

He goes on to say that the party has filed the "relevant paperwork with the Secretary Of State," and that all that remains is for supporters to sign the required petition.

What do you think? Is Andrew WK headed for D.C.?

The singer-songwriter did admit to not being politically-inclined when he appeared alongside Larry as recently as last October.  What brought about this change in attitude and interest?  See what he had to say on the matter in the clip below.
