"It's a different time, it's a different era," said Pierce Brosnan, when speaking of his admiration of Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond. Now, just as Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton before him, the time may come for Daniel Craig to "sit back and revel in what his predecessor does." The question on everyone's minds is, who will be the next James Bond?
A wide variety of names have been thrown around. The list includes a group of incredible actors, and even one fan-favorite actress, who wants to be "Jane Bond." Idris Elba, Jamie Bell, Tom Hiddleston, Henry Cavill, Michael Fassbender, Damian Lewis and even Gillian Anderson have all been speculated or expressed desire to have their name thrown in for the role of the famous undercover agent.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Tom Hiddleston said, "I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. And I’m very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly."
Well, despite fan's interest in Elba or Anderson, it seems EON production is one step closer to finding the new James Bond. Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) met with Barbara Broccoli, long-time producer of the series. Bell was featured in another movie by Broccoli, called Film Stars Don't Die.
Also, today Birth.Movies.Death reported that Hiddleston is in final talks for the role. "Our source confirms that, while talks have indeed taken place, and that Hiddleston very much wants the job (a fact of which he’s made no secret), no official offer has been made - yet."
So, while we still have no idea where Bond will land, in terms of a studio. We are at least one step closer to seeing who will be the next James Bond. It will either be Jamie Bell or Tom Hiddleston.
