Carole Bayer Sager: Yeah, yeah. You know, there’s ageism involved in songwriting, for sure. For sure. I mean there are exceptions -

Carole Bayer Sager: Well people say, ‘get me a young Carole Bayer Sager to write the lyric for this movie’ or ‘write a song for me.’ I used to get calls once a week. Will you write for this movie? I wrote so many movies’ themes. Some of them very successful, like “Nobody Does it Better” and “Arthur’s Theme” and “The Prayer” from…
Larry King: Oh.
Carole Bayer Sager: David Foster and I, “Prayer.” Celine Dion and Andrea Boccelli, but I don’t get those calls anymore. Which made me move into painting, which I loved for awhile.
