Bill Maher

William "Bill" Maher Jr is an American stand-up comedian, television host, political commentator, satirist, author, and actor. Before his current role as the host of the HBO series, Real Time with Bill Maher, he hosted a very similar late-night talk show called Politically Incorrect originally on Comedy Central and later on ABC. Maher is very well known for his sarcastic attitude, political satire and sociopolitcal commentary. Maher supports the legalization of marjiuana and same-sex marriage. His critical views on religion were the basis of his 2008 documentary film, Religulous. in 2005 Maher ranked number thirty-eight on Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time.
