Larry King Joins YouTube's New Elections Hub Premiering "Ora 2012 with Larry King"

(August 22, 2012) - Ora TV, the new digital network, announced today that they are teaming up with YouTube on their new Elections Hub that will present "Ora 2012 with Larry King," a series of live shows that will offer extensive election coverage and original programming. King brings over 30 years of experience talking to both sides of the political aisle to bring voters access to major political power players.

The coverage, with Larry as anchor, goes live on the Elections Hub immediately following the last two nights of the Republican National Convention on August 29th and 30th and the Democratic National Convention on September 5th and 6th. Subsequent specials will air immediately after the debates and during Election Night.

King's election coverage will be in addition to his successful daily interview program, Larry King Now, which launched earlier in the year.

On Ora 2012 with Larry King, King will lead the roundtable discussion comprised of well-known politicians, pundits, activists and celebrities. The Ora TV political reporting team will include reporter David Begnaud who will bring reaction in real time from voters across the country weighing in through social media. Financial anchor and journalist, Nicole Lapin joins Larry King's panel for Ora 2012's political coverage. Larry will also host a Google Hangouts, opening up the discussion across the digital space.

"With his strong cross-party and cross-generational appeal, Larry is a natural fit for Ora TV and YouTube's political programming. He has interviewed every US President since Nixon as well as major policymakers throughout the years", remarked Ora TV CEO Jon Housman. "Larry is known and loved by new media consumers as well as newspaper readers and cable TV viewers, and obviously he remains a pioneer in live programming", he added. The producing team is lead by Larry's longtime Senior Executive Producer Wendy Walker. "Wendy brings her experience covering every election since 1980, including a tenure as White House producer for CNN before joining Larry King," said Housman.

"We hope the YouTube Elections Hub will be a vibrant and vital part of the political discussion in the US and around the world in coming months, and Larry King will bring a strong and experienced voice to the table" said Olivia Ma, YouTube News Manager.

Larry King added, "This is one of the most important elections that I have had witnessed in my lifetime. We are at a critical point in history, making it even more important that people have a thorough understanding of the issues. I am thrilled to be a part of this initiative Ora TV and YouTube."

YouTube Elections Hub is a one-stop channel for key political moments through Election Day. Audiences can watch all of the live speeches from the floor of the upcoming Republican and Democratic National Conventions, see Google+ Hangouts with power brokers behind the scenes, and watch the first-ever live stream of the official presidential and vice presidential debates.
