Los Angeles, CA, July 15, 2013 – Ora TV, leading production studio and on-demand digital network, announced today that “Larry King Now” will premiere its second season with episodes airing via Ora TV, Hulu and RT America on July 15th. The new season will feature an array of celebrities, newsmakers and trending topics.
“Season 1 of ‘Larry King Now’ has been a great success story with Larry delivering the interviews that we have come to expect along with surprising and entertaining moments that have gone viral and that have become part of the pop culture conversation,” remarked Ora TV CEO Jon Housman.
“Larry King Now” launched with a successful and compelling first season with Larry at the forefront of top pop culture topics and breaking news, interviewing legendary and up and coming actors such as, Harrison Ford, Carol Burnett, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Andrews, Billy Crystal, Matthew McConaughey and Melissa McCarthy. King also talked with fan and cult favorites Jessica Biel, Chris Colfer, the cast of “The Walking Dead,” stars of the WWE and “Duck Dynasty.” Larry had intimate and compelling conversations with musicians, politicians and late night titans including Snoop Lion, 50 Cent and Tim McGraw, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel and Ryan Seacrest. Season two promises to deliver the names and interviews audiences have come to expect from “The King.”
Ora TV will offer new ways for Larry’s audience to interact with the show by launching new social campaigns including#BookEmLarry, an interactive layer for "Larry King Now," where viewers can submit guest suggestions for upcoming episodes through social media by using the #BookEmLarry hashtag on Twitter & Instagram. Through this interactive component, viewers of "Larry King Now" will be able to suggest Larry King's next guest and each month participants will be rewarded with sponsored prizes for participating.
Distribution of “Larry King Now” has expanded outside the United States and on multi-platforms having launched on Dubai One in the Middle East and North Africa, the Israeli Broadcast Association in Israel and will be soon available in Canada starting in September. Ora TV will continue to increase distribution and “Larry King Now” as multi-platform content and will be announcing additional international markets in the upcoming year. In the US, new episodes of “Larry King Now” can be viewed on demand on Hulu and as well as on RT America Monday-Wednesday and Friday at 9pm and 11pm EST.
Larry King continues to be an innovator in his 50 plus year career that shows no signs of stopping. He has hosted numerous radio and television programs including his historic 25-year run as the host of “Larry King Live” on CNN, which made him a household name.
