The San Mateo County coroner spoke at a press conference earlier, stating that the victim that was run over by the fire truck was alive when she was hit. San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White then spoke, revealing that there is a police investigation and the SFFD is cooperating and that she and Mayor Ed Lee have offered to meet with the Chinese consulate. Hayes promised to look into the protocols and procedures followed after the crash to see what went wrong.
