NYPD arrested a man and his friend after mistaking candy they had for crystal methamphetamine. Love Olatunjijojo and his friend were stopped after going into It Sugar on Coney Island. NYPD officer Jermaine Taylor, a self-professed crystal meth expert, searched the two men and found Jolly Ranchers which he mistook for meth. Olantunjijojo and his friend were taken into custody but released after 24 hours when tests showed they were in possession of candy. Olantunjijojo is now suing the department for emotional distress.
