Google's self-driving car is graduating from the freeway to the city. The car has already driven about 700,000 miles on the freeway. The car is retrofitted with lasers, cameras and other devices that will make it easy for the car to be on autonomous mode in a city environment.
So far, the self-driving car has only been tested in four states, yet Nissan CEO expects to have a self-driving car out for the public by the year 2020. Google doesn't intend to make their own cars, preferring to go with expert and established car manufacturers as partners instead.
