Los Angeles news affiliate KTLA has the video of a potentially world record breaking shark caught off the coast of Southern California. Jason Johnson caught the 12 foot long, 1,200 pound mako shark off the coast of Huntington Beach in Los Angeles, CA. He said it took two hours to reel in. While this may be the biggest mako shark ever caught, the biggest shark ever caught was in 1959 by Alf Dean, who caught a 2,664 lb Great White in Australia.
