The hit ad from start-up toy company, Goldiebox, who sells engineering kits for young girls, is facing controversy. The commercial features a parody of the Beastie Boy’s hit song “Girls” and the band is seeking legal rights to it- having made it clear long ago they didn’t want their music featured in product ads. In turn, Goldiebox is fighting copyright charges by suing the boy group over their right to parody the song.
