IN HIS OWN WORDS: Jesse Ventura says Pete Seeger was the original voice of protest.
Pete Seeger
A man who not only used music to bring the world together, but a man of great integrity, a true activist who popularized the phrase "We Shall Overcome."
A man who was involved and deeply embedded in the civil rights movement, the anti-war movement of the 60s, and even Occupy Wall Street.
A man who embodied what it means to be a true American: to stand up for what you believe is right, and to stand up for the rights of others.
Thank you to the vigilant man who influenced and inspired so many generations to do the right thing.
As this great man implied, words inspire but actions speak louder than words.
