An online survey of about a thousand Americans revealed 87% of respondents want candidates for federal office to possess a basic understanding of science as part of making public policy decisions.
This just tells me that we better start electing atheists. Generally, atheists believe in science. As Bill Maher says, “they don’t have that imaginary friend.”
You don’t have to be a scientist but you can still read things and make yourself more intelligent on the subject. Science is something that is extremely important. Anyone that lacks knowledge of it is falling behind. I think it's time an atheists took office because they’re usually reliant on science.
