According to Donald Trump, many Native Americans are “extremely proud” that the term “Redskins” is the name of Washington, D.C.’s football team.
Does the NFL allow the n-word? Would Donald Trump say it’s ok if a team was named that? What the hell is the difference?
That term was used during the genocide of Native Americans. Nothing else. We should be ashamed of that genocide, not honor it by naming a team after it. They were called that name when they were hunted for a bounty.
I refuse to use this term and I will continue to do so. There is no difference between it and the n-word. How dare sports announcers to continue to use this term? Where’s their conscience?
