Social Security overpaid $11 billion during the past nine years to people who returned to work and made too much money, a new study says.
Social security originally was called insurance. To qualify for it, you used to have to put into it. Then along the way it got robbed in the sixties by the democrats who started to take all of the money and use it for other entitlement programs.
Today, social security is nothing more than an entitlement program. It needs to go back to what it used to be. Where you worked and so much of your money went into this insurance policy, giving you benefits from it down the road. You don’t have to work to get social security benefits anymore so it doesn’t surprise me that it is being abused.
