Yes, it’s true.  A new poll done by Public Policy Polling found that thirty percent of Republican voters say they support bombing the fake country Agrabah, from the Disney film ‘Aladdin.’

You read that right. But let’s repeat it one more time: 30% of Republican primary voters say they would support bombing the country of Agrabah, from the Disney animated film, “Aladdin.”

Meanwhile, 57% of Republican voters are “not sure.”

True, one could say the question posed by Public Policy Polling, a left-leaning group, was misleading in itself.   “Would you support or oppose bombing Agrabah?” makes it seem that there is no denying Agrabah’s existence.  It certainly seems like it was meant to highlight a lack of knowledge in this presidential election.

Among other results the poll found, current GOP 2016 frontrunner Donald Trump won 45% of the support among those candidates who support the bombing of Agrabah.

It's not a far stretch for the GOP voters to think this line of action is legitimate.  Donald Trump has said he would “bomb the shit” out of ISIS.  Other GOP candidates, such as Senator Ted Cruz, said he could defeat ISIS within 90 days.

The two candidates with the highest rating of unfavorability were Jeb Bush at 49% and Lindsay Graham at 50%.  And, surprisingly, because his polling numbers have not been healthy as of late, Mike Huckabee had the highest favorability rating among all the 2016 GOP candidates with 63%.

What do you make of this poll vigilant viewers?   Too true or is this another case of “gotcha” journalism, a term lovingly used by Sarah Palin in the past?
