Chickenhawk Dick doesn’t see eye-to-eye with the Donald

Presidential “hopeful” -- as in, I HOPE he doesn’t become president -- Donald Trump says he would prevent Islamic people from entering the United States with a form at customs that would question if they were Muslim. If they answer yes, they would be barred from entry into the country.

His campaign had this to say for itself in a press release, "Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on."

What is going on, you ask? Islamophobia on the highest level, that’s what is going on. And the other candidates in the race for president took this as an opportunity to take their individual potshots at Trump for his comments.

Hillary Clinton tweeted, “Tell Donald Trump: Hate is not an American value.” And followed that one up with, “This is reprehensible, prejudiced and divisive. @RealDonaldTrump, you don't get it. This makes us less safe.”

Bernie Sanders had this to say, “It's fun for the political media to treat Donald Trump like he's the lead character in a soap opera or the star player on a baseball team. But the truth is his language is dangerous, especially as it empowers his supporters to act out against Muslims, Latinos, and African-Americans.”

After asking for a campaign donation, Sanders added, “The United States is a great nation when we stand together, but we are weak when we allow racism and xenophobia to divide us. So let's send a message that we stand together.”

Senator Ted Cruz who is nipping at Trump’s heels actually supported Trump with, “I commend Donald Trump for standing up and focusing America’s attention on the need to secure our borders.” If something is working for Trump, the rest of the G.O.P. is desperate enough to try it themselves. They will do anything to beat the Donald next November. Even stoop to his level.

Someone must have opened the cryogenic isolation chamber they keep Cheney in, because he came out long enough to utter this before being refrozen, "Well I think this whole notion that somehow we need to say no more Muslims and just ban a whole religion goes against everything we stand for and believe in. I mean religious freedom’s been a very important part of our history.”

Even Dick Cheney is on the right side of history, Trump. A man who started a war on false pretenses with the very people you are smearing every chance you are afforded. HE is more tolerant than you.

Yet you, Mr. Trump, decided to meet the deluge of criticism with this instead, "I don't care."

I don't care? You clearly do not care about America or the values upon which it was created: a melting pot of different cultures, creeds, and religions. Not a breeding ground for elitism and racism.

This should be the very moment upon which a nation turns its back on you and your mouth. This should be our last straw. Instead, big media is simply waiting with bated breath for the next horrible thing you say. This race to the White House is officially the worst one yet.
