- Eligibility: The Ora TV, Off The Grid sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including District of Columbia and Puerto Rico), who are at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in their place of residence at the time of entry, whichever is older. Entrants who are employees of Ora Media, LLC (“Promoter”), Twitter Inc. (“Twitter”), Facebook, Inc. (“Facebook”) or their affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies (the “Sweepstakes Entities”), or who are immediate family members or persons living in the same household of each such employee are not eligible. Subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. By participating in the Sweepstakes, the participant signifies his or her full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules.Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
- Timing:The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM United States Eastern Time (“ET”) on the first date for entry listed in the blog-post on the Website. The Sweepstakes ends at 11:59 PM ET on the last date for entry listed in the blog-post on the Website. The time between the first date listed for the blog-post entry and the last date for entry listed in the blog-post, shall be the" Sweepstakes Period"). Promoter’s computer is the official time keeping device for the Sweepstakes.
- How to Enter: Visit the Sweepstakes Web site at http://www.ora.tv/offthegrid/article/ during the Sweepstakes Period specifically listed & detailed at the bottom of each Sweepstakes blog post and follow the entry instructions on that page. If you answer the question on the entry page correctly (if applicable), you will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. By entering the Sweepstakes you agree to abide by and be bound by these official rules.
- Entry: You may enter the Sweepstakes not more than once per 24 hour period during the Sweepstakes Period. By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree that you are solely responsible for all data charges that you may incur. All such charges are billed by and payable to your service provider. Please contact your participating service provider for pricing plans, participation status and details. LIMIT:Use of any automated system to participate in the Sweepstakes is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification, and all entries submitted or received via such automated system will be void. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected information or entries, which will be disqualified and void.In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, the authorized account holder (as defined herein) of the email address used by, or connected to, the eligible entrant will be deemed to be the entrant.The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder.
- Personal Information: Information collected from entrants is subject to Promoter’s Privacy Policy ora.tv/privacy. Personal information includes name, address, email address, and birthdate and will be used: (a) to contact potential winners; and (b) if an entrant selects to receive additional information or marketing materials from the Promoter on the entry form, to send additional information or marketing materials to that entrant.The recipient of your personal data is the Promoter. Entrants have the right to access, withdraw, and correct their personal data.Entrants may request such action by sending a message to contact@ora.tv or Opt-out Request, Ora Media, LLC 134 Charles Street, New York NY 10014. Data collected during entry may also be stored by shortstack.com.
- Sweepstakes Drawings: “Drawing Period” from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period shall be as set forth at the bottom of each Sweepstakes blog post. Promoter will randomly select the potential winner(s) from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.. The drawings will take place at the Promoter’s offices at the address set forth above. The potential winners will be notified via the email address provided during registration. Each potential winner who has been contacted by the Promoter will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Compliance, Liability and Publicity Release (“Declaration”) which must be received by Promoter, within three (3) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner fails to sign and return the Declaration within the required time period, the potential winner forfeits the prize and it will be awarded to the eligible entrant whose entry was the next valid entry drawn, provided that entrant signs and returns the Declaration. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Promoter will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Only three (3) alternate drawings will be held, after which the applicable prize or the equivalent value shall be distributed as stipulated by applicable law.
- Sweepstakes Prizes: The full list of prizes are set forth at the bottom of each Sweepstakes blog post. Winner will not receive difference between actual and approximate retail value.No cash equivalent and all prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Promoter’s sole discretion. Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or a component thereof) for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. The Value of the Grand Prize will be taxable to the Grand Prize Winner as income. Winners who are awarded a prize valued at $600 or more will receive an IRS Form 1099. The odds of winning the Monthly or Grand prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the Monthly drawing Period and the Sweepstakes Period respectively.Limit: One (1) Prize per person and household, Per month.
- Release: By accepting a prize, each winner agrees to the extent allowable under applicable law, to release and hold harmless Promoter,and their respective agents (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability or any injury, loss, damage, claim or right of action of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity, or the receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize won.
- Publicity: To the extent permitted by applicable law, Promoter and its agents may use each winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state or province for promotional purposes in any online or other media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration for up to one (1) year following the conclusion of the Sweepstakes.
- General Conditions: To the extent permitted by law, Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Promoter in its sole discretion. Any change, cancellation, suspension or modification to the Sweepstakes will posted on the Sweepstakes web site. If the Sweepstakes is terminated Promoter may, in its sole discretion, determine the winners from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to time of such action using the procedure outlined above.Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or those of any other Sweepstakes or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner and void all associated entries.Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and Promoter reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies (including attorneys’ fees) for any such violation to the fullest extent permitted by law.Promoter’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Noncompliance with any of these Official Rules may result in disqualification.ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY A WINNER OR ANY BEHAVIOR BY A WINNER THAT WILL BRING SUCH PRIZE WINNER OR PROMOTER INTO DISREPUTE (IN PROMOTER’S ENTITIES’ SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH PRIZE WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS A PRIZE WINNER OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS THE WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
- Limitations of Liability: Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; or (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes, if it is possible. Nothing contained herein shall limit or exclude the Released Parties’ liability for death or personal injury caused by their negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else prohibited by law.No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed Promoter reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, unawarded, eligible prize claims. Entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Sweepstakes, to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Sweepstakes Entities, and hereby acknowledge that Sweepstakes Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prizes, including express warranties provided exclusively by a prize supplier that are sent along with the Prizes.
- Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York or the appropriate New York State Court located in New York County, New York; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Promoter in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York.
- Severability: If the application of any provision of these Official Rules to any particular facts or circumstances shall for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court, arbitration panel or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction, then (a) the validity, legality and enforceability of such provision as applied to any other particular facts or circumstances, and the other provisions of these Official Rules, shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby; and (b) such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible. In addition, if any provision contained in these Official Rules shall for any reason be held to be excessively broad as to duration, geographical scope, activity or subject, it shall be construed by limiting and reducing it, so as to be enforceable to the extent compatible with applicable law.

Vermont residents may omit return postage if requesting a set of Official Rules.
