Today is Earth Day.  It's a day where we celebrate and take care of our planet.  But with carbon dioxide levels at their highest levels in 650,000 years, average sea levels rising nearly 7 inches over the past 100 years, and 9 of the 10 warmest years on record occurring since 2000, is it really the time to celebrate?

How about taking the $1.7 trillion that we spent on these worthless wars in the Middle East and applying that money to waging war against the destruction of our planet?

How about alternative energy?  Get us off petroleum, oil, and old fuel sources.  There’s a lot of stuff we could be doing to combat what’s happening.

We have those out there that say that there is nothing we could do about it, simply because God controls the weather.

We have those out there that say that there is nothing we could do about it, simply because God controls the weather.

These people think nothing is happening to the planet.  Well, they need to do some research and take their heads out of the sand.

They need to realize that we, as humans, are the most destructive things on our planet. The only thing we’re good at contributing to our planet is plastic!
