Local news stations are reporting that the Republican-controlled House of the state of Texas just approved legalizing trace amounts of marijuana for medicinal purposes. This is a huge win for marijuana advocates.
Are the tides turning in our great nation? It would seem so.
Conservatives may finally be listening to the majority of Americans who now favor marijuana legalization.
This is a victory for marijuana advocates. Now, Texans must wait for the signature of Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to make this law binding.
Currently, as the AP reports, Texas law doesn’t allow for any form of medical marijuana.Yet, proponents of this new legislation claim this has been the most successful Texas legislation to date.
Will Abbot sign? One can only dream. Though his previous statements on the issue don’t provide much hope.
