There have been many presidents affiliated with different religions and only 3 with no affiliation. Would you vote for an Atheist president?

Almost every President of the United States has been affiliated with a religion with only three — Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson — having been unaffiliated with a specific religious tradition.

According to the Pew Research Center, here are the numbers of presidents that have represented these religions:

11 – Episcopalian

8 – Presbyterian

4 – Baptist

4 – Unitarian

3 – No Formal Affiliation

2 – Disciples of Christ

2 – Dutch Reform

2 – Quaker

1 – Catholic

1 – Congregationalist

1 – United Church of Christ

So, the question is: Would you elect an Atheist president?
