Walmart Will No Longer Carry AR-15 & Other Semi-Automatic Rifles

Walmart, the United States' top seller of guns and ammunition, will now limit the types of guns sold at their stores.

Walmart has announced that they well stop selling some semi-automatic rifles such as the AR-15 in their stores. The company says it will focus only on “hunting and sportsman firearms.”

Walmart says this decision has nothing to do with the rising number of mass shootings that have been happening in our country. Instead, they cited that it has to do with low demand for those types of weapons.

"This is done solely on what customer demand was," said company spokesman Kory Lundberg. "We are instead focusing on hunting and sportsman firearms."
