Current Saudi King Salman claims Israeli Mossad intelligence agency was responsible for 9/11
Former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia was interviewed on CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS where he claimed that current Saudi King Salman had told him that the Israeli Mossad intelligence agency was responsible for 9/11.
“One of my first calls [after 9/11] was with then-governor of Riyadh, Prince Salman, who is now the king," said US former ambassador Robert Jordan. "His response was very emphatic: 'this could not have been Saudis. We couldn't possibly have done this. This had to have been an Israeli plot. The Mossad must have done this.'"
Jordan went on to explain to Fareed Zakaria that at the time, the Saudis (in general) seemed to be in denial about the fact that 15 of the 19 hijackers were from their country.
“I got the same thing from the minister of interior, Prince [Mohammed bin] Nayef," Jordan stated. "I finally had to bring a CIA briefer out and show some of these princes some compelling evidence that it, indeed, was Saudis who were the hijackers.”
What do you think of this information? Could the Saudis still be in denial about their role in 9/11? Do you think Israel was involved? Sound off in the comments below.
