The 500 largest American companies hold more than $2.1 trillion in accumulated profits offshore to avoid U.S. taxes and would collectively owe an estimated $620 billion in U.S. taxes if they repatriated the funds, according to a study.
It clearly shows that corporations don’t have your best interest in mind. They are not even paying their end and yet they’re controlling our elections by giving money and buying off politicians.
Corporations don’t have hearts or souls. They simply have bottom lines and they are all for profit. They will do anything to ensure profit, and that includes cheating on taxes. People wonder why the average citizen is disheartened. People wonder why you can’t trust Democrats and Republicans. It's because they created a system of corporate bribery.
If the Supreme Court says corporations are equal to people, then corporations should pay at the same rate of tax that people do. All this would be a moot point if we would abolish the income tax and go o a national sales tax.
