The gloves came off for South Carolina senator and former GOP candidate, Lindsey Graham who spoke candidly about his feelings toward the GOP candidates at an event on Thursday night. “My party has gone batshit crazy,” Graham told the crowd at the Washington Press Club’s annual congressional dinner.

He also commented directly atGOP frontrunner Donald Trump, saying that he thinks Trump will lose the general election “because he’s just generally a loser as a person and a candidate.”

After dropping out of the GOP race, Graham endorsed Jeb Bush, who has since dropped out himself. He has not yet backed another candidate. Referring to his own failed campaign, Graham also called himself the Dr. Jack Kevorkian of the Republican primary.

Graham stated that he thinks Trump will win the nomination. When asked if he will endorse Trump if he does in fact win, Graham said he would. “I’ve got a ticket on the Titanic. So I am like on the team that bought a ticket on the Titanic, after we saw the movie. This is what happens if you nominate Trump.”

The South Carolina senator said he seriously doubts that Trump can win in the general election. “I think he’s going to lose and he’s going to lose badly. And I think all the things that we care about are going to be locked in place,” he said. “So don’t look at me to be the guy who stops [Hillary Clinton] from being president of the United States. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t nominate a nut job and lose, and expect it doesn’t have consequences.”

Graham listed some negative outcomes of another Clinton in the WHite House. “We’re going to continue a foreign policy that needs to be changed, Obamacare will be left intact, the Keystone Pipeline won’t be built, Planned Parenthood will continue to be funded,” he said. “And to say that you’re going to lose the White House and prevent all those things from happening is the height of dishonesty,” he added.

Here’s what Graham told Larry about his thoughts on the 2016 election:
