The USA brags a lot about being #1. What they don’t realize is that it’s not always something to brag about.
There’s a laundry list of categories that our great nation bests the competition in, but lets focus on America’s excellence in accumulating debt. According to figures from the Federal Reserve, households that have debt average about $15,607 each for a total of $880.5 billion in debt nationwide. That’s just the credit card debt.
Student loan debt is up to $1.1 trillion and rising. 71% of college graduates just this past year will owe an average of $29,400 per student. It’s the way the system is set up. They want you in debt. Our society and these big shots that run the economy want a debt-er society where you’ve got to pay the man your whole life.
