Child Protective Services (CPS) started their second investigation into Danielle and Alexander Meitiv in December of last year after police found their two children, aged 10 and 6, walking home in Silver Spring, Maryland.

The Meitiv's state their responsible parents, simply teaching their two young children how to be responsible and self-reliant, a style of parenting that has been now labeled as "free-range."

According to their attorney, CPS has "ruled out" child neglect charges that particular case.

Still unresolved: the April 12th incident in which the Meitiv's allowed their children to walk home alone from another park.  The police and CPS reportedly held the two young children for more than five hours.

What do you think vigilant viewers?  Is this another case of police overreach?  Should the Meitiv's be left alone, once and for all?
