Trump Blames Hillary For Rise of ISIS

Donald Trump has made more inflammatory statements targeting Hillary Clinton in particular and the government in general.

In a recent interview, Donald Trump suggested that Hillary is responsible for the rise of ISIS and the Syrian civil war. Speaking with Fox News last week he said, “She talked about me being dangerous, she’s killed hundreds of thousands of people with her stupidity.” He also called her one of the, if not the worst Secretary of States of all time. When asked about calling our leaders in government, losers he said, “I didn’t call them losers, I said they’re stupid. Losers isn’t a strong enough term.”

Peter Kauffmann, former press secretary for Hillary Clinton spoke with Larry on Wednesday about Trump’s outlandish statements. Kauffmann gives no merit to Trump and other GOP candidate’s plans of action in the Middle East saying, “If it was as easy as a shock and awe campaign we would carpet bomb all of Syria and all our problems would be solved. But what we learn is the world is a much more complex place than that.” He went on to explain Hillary Clinton’s stance in the Middle East to fight ISIS and ease the flow of migrants into Europe saying that the public seems to want more troops and that Hillary thinks we need to engage the troops on the ground. He also said that she believes that those troops need to be locally led.

It is clear that there is no evidence to support the claim that Hillary was responsible for ISIS or the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Trump made no effort to minimize his disapproval of Clinton, saying, “I’m not like Hillary Clinton. She’s got no strength. She’s got no stamina.”

These statements come in the wake of Trump’s recent proposal to have a registry for Muslims in the United States, causing nationwide outrage. Tayyib Rashid, a Muslim marine tweeted, "Hey @realDonaldTrump, I'm an American Muslim and I already carry a special ID badge. Where's yours?" His tweet went viral and sparked a wave of similar responses by other Muslim Americans.

When asked specifically how the government would identify Muslims, Trump’s response was, “You have a surveillance system and you check things and you have papers and you have documents and you go through a process.” When asked the same question by an NBC news reporter he said, “Different places. You sign up at different places. But it’s all about management. Our country has no management.’’

Regardless of the overwhelming disapproval of him, Trump doesn’t seem to be worried. “My whole life has been about winning. I’m going to win,” he said. And according to him, it wasn't supposed to be this way. Trump claims that he should just be writing checks and controlling politicians rather than actually being one himself. “I’m supposed to be on the other side writing checks and having people do whatever I want. Like puppets,” he said.
