ICYMI: Is the GOP Race Another Reality Show Opportunity for Donald Trump?

If you missed last night's PoliticKING . . .

Donald Trump already has a reality TV show of his own (“The Apprentice”), complete with a trademarked catchphrase (“You’re fired!”).

But he could soon be starring in another one. Former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu, who was also Chief of Staff to President George H.W. Bush, says a GOP presidential debate that includes the political plutocrat would be something fit for Bravo TV.

On last night’s episode of PoliticKING, Larry King asked if it would be fair if polling determined that Trump would be put in the mix of primary-debate spots, which could potentially exclude more serious candidates, like Senator Lindsay O. Graham (R-S.C.)

“I think that would be a mistake,” Sununu said. “I mean, that becomes not a debate. That becomes a reality show.”

But is that all part of the plan? Is "The Donald" running for president as part of a new reality series pitch? Only time will tell!

WATCH John Sununu weigh in on the issue here:

KING: They’re gonna base who gets in the debate on polling.Do you agree with that?

SUNUNU: You know, there are certain decisions in this world that you’re happy you don’t have to make. And, I’m happy I don’t have to make that one. It’s not my job. It’s above my pay grade right now. But, the more the merrier. They’ve gotta make a decision in terms of how to handle it.Something they can handle.Something that’s not ungainly. Something that doesn’t look horrible. Something that doesn’t have twenty people standing on the stage. So they’ve got to figure out how to do it. I pass on that.

KING: Would it bug you if Donald Trump got included and Kasich and Graham didn’t?

SUNUNU: I think that would be a mistake. I mean, that becomes not a debate. That becomes a reality show.
