Ketchup leather? Parmesan crisps? Thousand Island Bacon Spread? Now THIS is how you celebrate #NationalBurgerDay!

Want to impress your friends with the best burger ever? Try these 'little extra's' recipes from Haylie Duff's 'The Real Girl Kitchen - Hot Off the Grill' episode:

#1 - Ketchup Leather

Ketchup Leather

Ingredients

  • Ketchup
  • Cooking spray
  • Parchment paper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.
  2. Line a 12-by-17-inch rimmed baking sheet with Parchment paper. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Use an offset spatula to spread the ketchup on the parchment into a thin layer. Bake until barely tacky, 3 hours, 30 minutes.
  3. Transfer the baking sheet to a rack and let the leather cool completely. Peel off of the paper. If the leather is still moist on the underside, return it to the oven, moist-side up, until dry, about 20 more minutes. Use a pizza cutter to cut it into squares on the paper. Store in zip-top bags for up to 1 week.

#2 - Parmesan Crisps - From Haylie's The Real Girls Kitchen Cookbook

Ingredients

  • Parmesan

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Grate parmesan into a bowl. Drop cheese onto baking sheet in piles with a 3-inch diameter. Arrange with your fingers into small circles. Bake until melted but not bubbling. Remove from heat and let cool.
