Yesterday’s Super Bowl media day was crashed by none other than Snoop Dogg (formerly Snoop Lion). The high-profile rapper served as a guest correspondent, conducting interviews and posing for pictures with the NFL stars, who were clearly a little star-struck. “To be interviewed by Snoop, that’s really big," said Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

When interviewing Peyton Manning, Snoop took the opportunity to ask the Denver QB, and owner of several Papa John’s restaurants, for a 50% pizza discount. Manning, who was more than happy to oblige, then answered a more serious question regarding whether or not he’d be turning to his father and brother, Archie and Eli Manning, for advice this week.
Snoop’s stand-in role as reporter didn’t mean he escaped the media’s interest however. The rapper told reporters that, even though he's good friends with Manning,Panthers QB Cam Newton was a“real player with swag,” and that he will be supporting the Panthers come Sunday as he likes their youth and "swagger."
When questioned about his interviewing style and how he gets answers from players that other reporters can’t, he replied: "Easy. Easy because it’s a comfort zone with me. I’m not going to hurt them. I’m not here to make them feel bad or talk bad about them. I’m here to encourage them and let them know I support them. The media is just doing their job. It hurts people’s feeling but you’re just doing your job.” His secret style as a reporter? "Me. Doing me. Do nobody but me … I can do me very well.” No one can argue with that.
