One of the most prolific female wrestlers of all time, Joanie 'Chyna' Laurer, passed away at age 45 in her home in Redondo Beach, California. The Redondo Beach police were notified by a friend who went to check on her and found Laurer unresponsive. The cause of death is unknown, but police have ruled out foul play.
Chyna had many accomplishments in the WWE, including being one of the founding members of the popular group Degeneration-X, a female entrant in the Royal Rumble and the only woman to ever hold WWE's Intercontinental Title.
Joanie's Twitter account this morning released this statement.
#RipChyna š¢š¢š¢ all of us on team Chyna love you and will love you forever babe.
