Fran Drescher

Francine Joy "Fran" Drescher is an film and television actress, comedian, producer, and activist. She is best known for her role as Fran FIne in the hit TV series, The Nanny with her very distinct voice. Drescher also a uterine cancer survivor is an outspoken healthcare advocate and LGBT rights activist. She wrote about her cancer experience in her second book, Cancer Schmancer her purpose for writing this book was to educate both men and women on the importance of screening and early detection. Drescher was most recently honored with the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award which was presented to her by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
