A grandmother is being held on first degree murder charges after brutally slaying her infant granddaughter. Alfreda Geidrojc ruthlessly beat Vivian Summers with a sledge hammer and slit her throat with a carving knife. Her husband discovered the grisly scene and contacted police. Geidrojc is currently being held without bail at the Cook County jail.
