Inspector General’s report from 2011 to 2013 shows massive “like” campaign by State Department to grow its Facebook pages cost $630,000. IG report shows Bureau of International Information Programs did gain significant new fans, but the review still says the campaign wasn’t successful. The IG’s office suggests the expanded audience still was not the State Department’s target audience.
