The driver of the train that derailed in Spain was reportedly on the phone before the crash that killed 79 people on July 24th. The black box on the train shows brakes were activated, slowing the train from 119 mph to 95 mph, but was still too fast for the curve. Driver Francisco Garzon is already facing 79 counts of homicide and “numerous offences of bodily harm, committed through professional recklessness”.
