FULL TIME

Senior Producer for Newsbreaker, with David Begnaud
Ora TV's successful "Newsbreaker, with David Begnaud" is looking for a highly creative, aggressive journalist with management skills to join the team as a Senior Producer.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in broadcast/digital media and is someone who lives and breaths social media, has an impressive social media footprint, doesn't watch a clock, and comes to work daily with ideas that others would try to emulate.

He or she will help oversee a small staff of talented journalists who are trying to transform how people receive breaking news and watercolor stories on their various mobile devices. Benefits are included.

INTERNS

Ora TV offers a wide range of year-round internship positions for college and graduate students interested in the digital television industry. The internship offers real-world opportunities to acquire important skills, learn the industry and interact directly with professionals in all departments, including production, technology, marketing/advertising and development.

LOCATIONS: Internships are available in New York City and Los Angeles.

INTERNSHIP QUALIFICATIONS: Internships are open to college juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.

PAYMENT: A fixed transportation reimbursement is provided as well as a small stipend for full-time interns.

WORK: All interns are expected to provide general administrative assistance, to be flexible and to handle a fast-paced environment. Interns typically work in one or two of the following areas:

WORK AREAS:

  • SHOW DEVELOPMENT/PRODUCTION: Research and assistance to producers developing and producing sizzle reels for new ideas for upcoming shows.
  • VIDEO PRODUCTION: Pre-production through post-production of various projects: sizzle reels, promos, full shows. Familiarity with video production and editing systems required.
  • VIDEO DISTRIBUTION AND WEB CONTENT: Content management and creation for Ora TV’s website including working with video compression tools, uploading videos, creating other content assets and syndicating video to social networks. Interns are exposed to online video distribution, design and web development.
  • MARKETING/ADVERTISING: Work with our advertising and marketing teams creating proposals for potential clients, helping with marketing research, promotional materials and planning and executing campaigns.
